I am, rather to my surprise, an academic (at the moment) and an artist.  The views expressed on this blog are my own and almost certainly do not represent the views of any of the academic or artistic institutions with which I am affiliated.  I have strong opinions, many of which make me, well, odd – at least when compared to most of my associates.

My interests include theatre, film, history (particularly of the medieval variety), politics, the Catholic Church, travel, the Pittsburgh Steelers, Western Civilization, beer, Opera, fiction (as opposed to literature, which I’m not so sure about), and tap dancing.
